Higher Education's Information Challenge
نویسنده
چکیده
Acknowledgments: This article is based on a talk presented at the Stanford Forum for Higher Education futures whose participants greatly strengthened the ideas presented. Since the talk drew heavily on two existing research papers, a significant intellectual debt is owed to Erik Brynjolfsson who coauthored the original work on Internet economics. Ideas on complex organizations have also benefited from discussions with Yaneer Bar-Yam. Others whose insights have improved various drafts include Carol Frances, Pamela Gann, Robert Laubacher, Bill Massy, Joel Meyerson, Jim Orlin, and Jerry Prothero. Any remaining errors are certainly mine.
